My wife Karolina and I, nature lovers living in Jordan, decided to celebrate New Year's Eve 2024 in the serene beauty of Wadi Rum.
Wanting a break from the bustling city of Amman, we planned a desert escape with friends who share our love for adventure.

We arrived in Wadi Rum village driving from amman around 4:00 PM, parked our car, and explored the charming village streets while waiting for our friends.
We enjoyed the warm sun and played with two friendly stray dogs.

At the camp, we settled into our tents and gathered around the campfire. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with fellow campers sharing stories and laughter as we awaited dinner.

Our meal, a traditional Bedouin dish called Zarb cooked underground, filled the air with delicious aromas.
After dinner, we sipped Bedouin tea and listened to a local musician playing the Oud.

The next morning, we enjoyed a simple breakfast before heading out for a day of adventure. Basking in the warm sunshine, we relaxed on old couches outside the camp, soaking in the beauty of the desert landscape.

As midnight approached, we welcomed the New Year with hugs and well-wishes under the vast desert sky. It was a magical moment of togetherness and celebration.

Spotting a volleyball net nearby, we improvised a game using Karolina's travel pillow as a ball.
It was a lighthearted moment of fun and laughter for everyone.

Later, we gathered our rock climbing gear and headed to the nearby hills. With around ten friends and three sturdy ropes, we were ready to conquer the magnificent cliffs. Rock climbing holds a special place in our hearts, making this day in Wadi Rum a dream come true.

From our first ascent until the sun dipped below the horizon, we were lost in the exhilarating pursuit of reaching new heights.
The panoramic view of the desert landscape from the top was breathtaking—a testament to the timeless allure of the desert.

As the sun set, we packed our belongings and bid farewell to Wadi Rum.
Before returning to Amman, Karolina and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, reflecting on the unforgettable memories we had created in the desert.

Once our friends arrived, our Bedouin cam owner took us in his 4x4 vehicle to our desert camp.
As evening approached, the desert air grew chilly, but we were prepared with warm clothes.
